If we used Recovery Aftercare adhesive Derm Shield (transparent):

***YOUR TATTOO WILL CONTINUE TO WEAP UNDERNEATH THE BANDAGE. THIS IS NATURAL AND SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T LEAK OUTSIDE OF THE BANDAGE!

• Leave the bandage on for 72 hours, as long as there is no leakage. If any liquid leaks outside of the bandage, remove the bandage immediately.

• It is best to remove bandage under warm running water. Starting from the top edge, and pulling up (parallel to body) rather than away.

If we used Tattoo Armour bandage (puppy pad):

• Remove bandage after 24 hours. DO NOT RE-BANDAGE

AFTER BANDAGE IS REMOVED:

• Rinse the tattoo with warm water, gently rubbing with clean hands to remove excess "slime" (blood/ink/platelets/plasma), until slimy feeling is gone.

• Pat dry with a paper towel.

Repeat the next steps 3x per day for the first three days:

• Apply H2Ocean Blue Green Foam Soap and rub into entire tattoo. YOU DO NOT NEED WATER FOR THIS STEP.

• Wipe off excess liquid OUTSIDE the borders of the tattoo, but allow the tattoo itself to AIR DRY

• Once it's mostly dry, apply a small amount of H2Ocean's Aquatat ointment and rub it into the entire tattoo. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY

After 3 days:

• Switch from Aquatat to a plain white, fragrance free lotion.

• Moisturize daily

*YOUR TATTOO SHOULD BE FULLY HEALED IN 10-14 DAYS. IF AT ANY POINT YOU DEVELOP ANY RASH OR SKIN REACTION, OR IF THE TATTOO BECOMES PAINFUL, RED AND HOT TO THE TOUCH CONTACT MATT IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU SUSPECT AN INFECTION, YOU SHOULD SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.*
